Project: Development of an automated system for calculating the quality of life index for cities in the Czech Republic, reg. no. CZ.01.01.01/05/24_043/0007716

September 10, 2025

The aim of the project is to develop and deploy an automated system for calculating the quality of life index at the level of municipalities with extended powers (ORP) in the Czech Republic.

The project aims to fundamentally transform the existing manual procedure into a repeatable, efficient, and error-free process that will enable the processing of large data interfaces without the need for human intervention and with the possibility of updating and visualizing outputs. Automation will be implemented using VBA scripts in MS Excel, supplemented by Power Query for data transformation and Power BI for output visualization. The goal is to increase accuracy, speed, and capacity compared to the manual solution. If necessary, another language will be used, while maintaining functional continuity between the individual phases.

The project is co-financed by the European Union.
